Excelsior Union High senior J.J. Manners navigates the cliques and rivalries that high school entails, all while pursuing Beth Franklin, who happens to be the girlfriend of quarterback and class president Beau Middleton. There's only one way to settle the rivalry for Beth's affection: a drag race, whose outcome turns Excelsior's social hierarchy on its head and causes further pandemonium.

Based on the Robert Graysmith books about the real life notorious Zodiac, a serial killer who terrorized San Francisco with a string of seemingly random murders during the 1960's and 1970's.
