The blind side (PG-13) (2009) (128 min.): In this remarkable true story, Michae Oher, a homeless African American youngster from a broken home, is taken in by the Touhys, a well-to-do white family, who help him fulfill his potential. At the same time, Oher's presence in the Touhys' lives leads them to some insightful self-discoveries of their own.

The longest yard (PG-13) (2005) (113 min.): In this story, pro quarterback Paul Crewe and former college champion and coach Nate Scarboro are doing time in the same prison. Asked to put together a team of inmates to take on the guards, Crewe enlists the help of Scarboro to coach the inmates to victory in a football game fixed to turn out quite another way.

Rudy (PG) (1993) (114 min.): This is the true story of a mediocre student who, through sheer will, plays football for Notre Dame.

We are Marshall (PG) (2006) (131 min.): This inspiring story is about how a small town in West Virginia, steeped in the rich tradition of college football, struggled to cope with a devastating loss and to restore their community after one of the worst disasters in the history of American sports.

Varsity blues (R) (1999) (104 min.): In a Texas town where high-school football is king, the head coach is deified, as long as the team is winning, and seventeen-year-old schoolboys carry the hopes of an entire community onto the gridiron every Friday night.
