Debbie Stoller is the New York Times best-selling author of the Stitch 'n Bitch series of knitting and crocheting books. Ever since starting her first Stitch 'n Bitch group in NYC in 1999, Debbie has been helping to popularize knitting among a new generation, both with her books and with the spread of Stitch 'n Bitch groups, of which there are now over 1000 all across the world. She has been called a "Knitting Superstar" by the New York Times, and has penned 5 books in the series: Stitch 'n Bitch: The Knitter's Handbook, Stitch 'n Bitch Nation; Stitch 'n Bitch Crochet: The Happy Hooker' Son of Stitch 'n Bitch; and Stitch 'n Bitch Superstar Knitting. Since 2010, Debbie has a line of yarn she produced together with Red Heart: Stitch Nation by Debbie Stoller. Debbie is also the Co-Founder and Editor-in-Chief of BUST magazine, and is the co-author of The BUST DIY Guide to Life. Debbie lives in Brooklyn with a crazy cat, two ridiculous dogs, and way too much yarn.
Summary
Increases and decreases in knitting mean you can shape your work and knit shapes other than squares and rectangles. Decreasing removes stitches and makes your work more narrow, while increasing adds stitches to make your work wider. Debbie shows you several ways to do both so you can start shaping your work.
